The appliance is very heavy. Never
transport or carry it alone, rather al-
ways with at least two persons.

■
If a trolley is used to move the appli-
ance, the appliance must be lifted as
shown on the packaging. If the appli-
ance cannot be transported upright,
ensure that it is not tilted more than
30°.
■
Exercise caution when moving the ap-
pliance. Do not lift or pull the appli-
ance by any of its protruding parts.
The appliance door must not be used
as a carrying handle.
■
Note that the appliance must not be
installed behind a lockable door, a
sliding door or a door with a hinge on
the opposite side to that of the tum-
ble dryer, in such a way that a full
opening of the tumble dryer door is
restricted.
• Check whether the paths of transport and
the installation location are suitable for the
weight of the appliance. If in doubt, ask
your landlord or property management.
Before getting started
• Read the “Safety” chapter from page EN-4,
in particular the safety notices.
Setting up the appliance
• Place the appliance in a frost-proof loca-
tion.
• Ideally, the appliance should be installed
next to your washing machine.
• Ensure that
– the mains plug is also easily accessible
once the appliance has been set up;
– air can circulate freely in the appliance’s
immediate surroundings;
– the ventilation grilles on the front and
back of the appliance are not obstructed.
• Place the appliance on a firm, flat, clean,
and dry surface. The appliance must not be
placed on a surface that is sloping, flexible
or uneven.
• The feet must not be removed from the ap-
pliance.
• Do not place the appliance on a rug or car-
pet. If you do this, the appliance will not
be sufficiently ventilated and can overheat.
The floor clearance must not be restrict-
ed by objects such as carpets and wood
strips.
