possible period. This will mean that you avoid
food waste:
• Store spreadable butter and cheese on
the upper door shelf (3) in the upper sec-
tion of the fridge. This is where the tem-
perature is warmest.
• Store preserves, jars and eggs in one of
the other door shelves (3). Eggs are best
stored on the supplied egg tray.
• Place drinks cartons and bottles on the
bottom door shelf (3). Position full con-
tainers closer to the hinge in order to re-
duce the strain on the appliance door.
• Store securely closed bottles in the bottle
rack (5).
• Store cooked and baked foods on one of
the glass shelves (4).
• Store fresh fruit and vegetables in the
fruit/vegetable drawers (8) or (9).
• Store fresh meat, game, poultry, ba-
con, sausages and raw fish on the glass
shelf (6) above the large fruit/vegetable
drawer (8). This is where the temperature
is lowest.
• Only store strong alcohol standing upright
and tightly closed.
• Allow hot food to cool before placing it in
the fridge.
The temperatures within the appliance
and, therefore, its energy consumption
may increase if the appliance doors are fre-
quently opened or kept open for long peri-
ods, or if the ambient temperature exceeds
the stipulated minimum or maximum lev-
els (see „Intended use“ on page EN-4).
Maintaining quality
• To maintain the flavour and freshness of
food in the fridge, only place packaged
food in the fridge. Use special plastic con-
tainers for food or customary films.
• Place the food
– in the fridge in a way that allows the
air to circulate freely. Do not cover the
shelves with paper or anything similar.
– away from the air duct outlet, other-
wise the food may freeze.
