1. If no recess is available, cut a recess into
the worktop: 560 × 490 mm (B × D).
2. If a hob was already installed, the re-
cess it was in must be a maximum of
574 × 490 mm. Affix adjustment strips of
a maximum of 7 mm to the left and to the
right in order to achieve the breadth of
560 mm.
– The hob must be surrounded by at least
50 mm of worktop on all sides.
– If the hob is separated from the rest of the
mounting cupboard using a horizontal fix-
ing plate, the space between the base of
the appliance and the fixing plate must be
at least 50 mm high.
– If the hob is separated from the rest of the
mounting cupboard using a vertical fixing
plate, the space between the wall and the
fixing plate must be at least 20 mm broad.
– At the back of the fixing plate, a square
opening with a side diameter of at least
80 mm must be cut out.
– If the hob is installed over an oven with
ventilation, the clearance between the
base of the appliance and the cover of the
oven must be at least 50 mm.
– Veneers, plastic coverings and adhesives
which are used must be resistant to heat
up to temperatures of 100 °C.
