Before getting started
• Read the “Safety” chapter from page EN-4,
in particular the safety notices.
• Set up and connect the appliance as
described in the “Set-up, connection and
initial start-up” chapter from page EN-28.
• Refill dishwasher detergents, rinse aids
and dishwasher salts or multi-tabs.
Preparation
1. Open the tap completely.
2. Leave the dishwasher door open.
3. Press the button (1) to switch on the
dishwasher.
You will hear a signal tone and the display
and all indicators will illuminate briefly.
Protecting the environment
– The ECO programme is the most efficient
programme for cleaning normally soiled
dishes in terms of combined energy and
water consumption.
– If you keep to the maximum specified
capacity when loading your appliance and
you arrange the dishes correctly, energy
and water can be saved (see „Loading the
dishwasher“ on page EN-17).
– Manual pre-rinsing of the dishes leads to
higher water and energy consumption and
is not recommended.
– Cleaning dishes in your appliance gen-
erally uses less energy and water than
washing by hand, provided you follow the
instructions in the user manual.
Selecting the dishwashing
programme
It is recommended that you carry out
a test run before the fi rst dishwasher
cycle in order to remove residues from the
manufacturing process and in order to ensure
that the device functions perfectly. Carry out
this test run when the dishwasher is empty
and without any dishwasher detergent.
1. Select the suitable dishwashing pro-
gramme based on the ‘programme table’,
see page EN-21.
2. Press the
P
(5) button as often as re-
quired until the display (4) shows the
desired programme duration on the left
and the number of the desired
programme on the right.
3. For the washing programme,
– if you wish to make further adjustments,
continue with „Additional options“.
– if you wish to launch it, continue with
„Starting the dishwashing programme“
on page EN-23.
Additional options
You can combine the various dishwashing
programmes with additional options.
The additional options must be selected be-
fore starting the dishwashing programme.
