If you set a lower temperature, you will
require greater cooling power. This in-
creases energy consumption.
Setting the temperature
You can choose temperatures from +2 °C to
+8 °C in refrigerator mode and from –16 °C
to –24 °C in freezer mode.
• Press the temperature up-button (15)
or the temperature down-button (16)
until the desired temperature lights
up on the temperature display (13).
The temperature is increased or reduced
by 1 or 2 °C each time you press the but-
ton.
In refrigerator mode:

The ideal fridge temperature is +4 °C.
In freezer mode:
-16 -18 -20
-24 -22
SUPER
FRZ.
The ideal fridge temperature is –18 °C.
Activating/deactivating quick
refrigerating/quick freezing
When using the appliance in cooling mode,
you can activate the super cooling mode
for quick cooling. In freezing mode, you can
activate the super freezing mode for quick
freezing.
The super cooling mode rapidly cools the
fridge to +2 °C.
The super freezing mode rapidly cools the
freezer to –24 °C.
Activating quick refrigerating
1. Activate the cooling mode (see “Configur-
ing operating mode” on page EN-18).
2. Press the temperature down-button (16)
repeatedly, until the temperature display
(13) shows “SUPER COOL”.
Activating quick freezing
1. Activate the freezing mode (see “Configur-
ing operating mode” on page EN-18).
2. Press the temperature down-button (16) re-
peatedly, until the temperature display (13)
shows “SUPER FRZ.”.
Deactivating quick refrigerating/
quick freezing
Quick refrigerating is automatically deacti-
vated 6 hours after the temperature reaching
+2 °C. Quick freezing is automatically deacti-
vated after 24 hours.
To deactivate manually:
• Press the temperature up-button (15) or
the temperature down-button (16) to set a
desired temperature, thereby leaving the
super cooling mode and the super freezing
mode respectively.
Door alarm
The energy consumption and the tempera-
ture inside the appliance can increase if the
appliance door (1) is opened often or for long
periods of time.
A beep will sound if the appliance door (1) is
left open for longer than 2 minutes.
• Close the appliance door (1).
• Briefly press any button on the control pan-
el to turn off the beep.
