■
One-, two- and three-star compart-
ments are not suitable for the freez-
ing of fresh food.
■
If the refrigerating appliance is left
empty for long periods, switch off,
defrost, clean, dry, and leave the door
open to prevent mould developing
within the appliance.
Health hazard!
The appliance may not operate proper-
ly if the ambient temperature exceeds
or falls below the specifi ed temperature
range for a prolonged period. This can
then lead to an increase in temperature
inside the appliance.
■
Always ensure the prescribed ambi-
ent temperature is maintained (see
„Intended use“ on page EN-4).
Standing water may cause damage to
health.
The water fi lter fi lters out only fl oating
particles from the water. It does not de-
stroy bacteria or microbes.
■
Clean water tanks if they have not
been used for 48 hours; fl ush the wa-
ter system connected to a water sup-
ply if water has not been drawn for 5
days.
■
Do not dispense water from the cold
water outlet for longer than 3 min-
utes at a time.
■
Use only fresh drinking water to fi ll
the water tank. Do not fi ll the water
tank with any other fl uids.
Incorrect handling, insuffi cient cool-
ing or overlapping items can spoil the
stored food. This could lead to a risk of
food poisoning when consumed!
■
Pay attention to the star classifi ca-
tions in the freezer and the resulting
storage periods for freezer products.
■
Note that the shelf life of the frozen
food may be shortened due to a rise
in the temperature inside the appli-
ance (from defrosting, cleaning or
power failure).
■
If there is a power failure, the frozen
food may remain suffi ciently cold for
some time (see ‘Storage time in the
event of a power failure’ on the type
plate of the appliance). In case of pro-
longed power failure or malfunction
of the appliance, remove the stored
frozen food from the appliance and
store it in a suffi ciently cool place or
in another cooling appliance.
■
After a malfunction, check wheth-
er the stored food is still edible. Con-
sume thawed and defrosted foods
immediately, do not refreeze.
■
Use only potable water to make ice
cubes.
Risk of injury from frozen goods!
Improper handling of the appliance
may result in injury. There is a risk of
burns caused by low temperatures.
■
The food and the inside walls of the
freezer have a very low temperature.
Never touch them with wet hands.
