Care and maintenance
WARNING
Risk of fire and explosion!
Your appliance’s refrigeration circuit
contains the environmentally friendly,
but flammable refrigerant R600a (isobu-
tane).
• Do not use mechanical devices or
other means to accelerate the de-
frosting process, other than those
recommended by the manufacturer.
For example, do not use any electric
heating equipment, knives or devices
with an open flame such as a candle.
The thermal insulation and the interi-
or are scratch and heat-sensitive and
can melt.
• Do not use electrical appliances inside
the food storage compartments of the
appliance, unless they are of the type
recommended by the manufacturer.
Danger of explosion!
Defrosting sprays can form explosive
gases, may contain components that
damage plastic, and may be harmful to
health.
• Never use defrosting sprays.
• To accelerate the defrosting process
use only the mechanical devices or
other means recommended by the
manufacturer.
Health hazard!
An increase in the temperature of the
frozen food during defrosting can short-
en the shelf life of the frozen food.
• Ensure that the frozen food is kept
sufficiently cool during defrosting.
Care and maintenance
CAUTION
Risk of injury!
Improper handling of the combination
fridge-freezer may result in skin dam-
age and injury.
• Never touch the inside walls or frozen
food with wet hands. Injuries can also
occur with dry hands though.
• Use a dry towel to remove the frozen
food.
NOTICE
Risk of damage!
Improper handling of the combination
fridge-freezer may lead to damage.
• Never use electric heating appliances,
naked flames or ice scrapers for de-
frosting. The insulation could melt or
become scratched.
• When removing the glass shelves,
hold them firmly by their plastic frames.
The glass panels in the glass shelves
over the crisper compartments are
loosely fitted and can be pressed out.
• Never use corrosive and abrasive
cleaning agents or sponges for clean-
ing. They could damage the surfaces.
All-purpose cleaners with a neutral pH
are recommended.
• Never spray the combination
fridge-freezer with a jet of water (e.g.
from a pressure washer).
• Make sure that no cleaning water gets
into the electrical parts.
• Use only soft cloths.
• Use cleaning products only on the out-
er surfaces.
• The door seals are sensitive to oil and
grease. The surfaces can be damaged
by unsuitable cleaning agents. For this
reason, do not grease the door seals.
