Before cleaning the exhaust hood or
changing the fi lter, pull out the mains
plug. If the mains plug is diffi cult to
access, switch off the corresponding
fuse or pull it out.

Improper handling of the appliance
or incorrect maintenance can result in
grease residue catching fi re.

Grease residue on the exhaust hood
or in the grease fi lters can catch fi re
if exposed to high temperatures. For
this reason, clean the surfaces of the
exhaust hood and grease fi lters regu-
larly.
Cleaning the housing

Do not use any sharp objects or scou-
ring powders, as these can scratch
the surface.
We recommend cleaning the surfaces of the
exhaust hood after every use.
• Wipe the surfaces with a soft, damp cloth
and a little dishwashing detergent.
• Clean glass surfaces with standard glass
cleaner.
Cleaning the grease filter
(exhaust and circulation air
operation)

Handle the grease fi lters carefully to
avoid bending or creasing the fi ne
mesh.
■
Only reinsert the grease fi lters after
cleaning once they are fully dry.
The 90-cm version of the exhaust hood has
2 grease filters. This text describes changing
the filter for the 60-cm version.
Clean the grease filters once a month – or
more frequently if necessary – in the dishwas-
her (up to 60 °C), or soak in lukewarm water
with detergent.
1. Unplug the mains plug or switch off the
corresponding circuit.

2. Push the locking mechanism (13) of the
grease filter (14) to the left and carefully
remove the grease filter by pulling it down-
wards.
3. Wash the grease filters (14) in a dishwas-
her or in the sink like ordinary dishware.
