Rinse the showerhead with clear water.

Install the showerhead.  Turn the water on and flush the 
showerhead for at least one minute. 

To remove heavier scale deposits, pour about 3/4" 
of a commercial scale remover such as Lime-Away or 
CLR, into a shallow dish.  Be sure to follow the label 
instructions!

Soak the spray face for the amount of time specified in 
the label instructions.
