If the unit will be powered off and not used for an extended period of time, unplug it and clean the unit
thoroughly. Ensure that the door is propped open slightly and place the unit in a well-ventilated area to
avoid any odor or build-up.

Before you throw away your old freezer, take off the doors but leave the shelves in place, so that
children may not easily climb inside.
