Tap the arrow next to the Input Panel button and then
Block Recognizer
and write a letter in the box.
When you write a letter, it is converted to typed text that appears on the screen.
Selecting Text
To edit or format typed text, select it by dragging the stylus across the text. Then, use the commands on the pop-up menu to cut,
copy, and paste the selected text.

You can set input options by going to
Start
>
Settings
>
Personal

Input
