Instructions

A. Casts of the upper and lower dentition are prepared in your

customary manner.

B. Secure the lower model first. Loosen the lower attaching

screw, insert the model, lining up the midline indicator

with the dental midline, and tighten the screw.

C. Follow the above instructions for the upper model.
D. Loosen the anterior/posterior adjustment knob and flip the

lever forward. This will allow free movement of the upper

model in all directions.

E. Position the upper model into the lower model (centric

occlusion) and lock the anterior/posterior adjustment knob

making sure the flat side of the slide bar is parallel to the

floor*. Close the lever by pushing it backwards.

F.  Turn the vertical adjustment screw (found in the rear of

the articulator) to raise or lower the vertical dimension of

occlusion. Once the casts are in proper position, lock into

place by rotating the lock washer until contact is made with

the articulator and secure in place.

*  Once the model is locked, if the cast is able to move sideways the

anterior/posterior slide bar is not in its correct parallel location.
