SET UP/ADD PRINTER
Follow the set up instructions supplied with the instrument for a windows
vista PC. It may be necessary to plug in the keyboard and mouse to
successfully complete this installation.
The Hanatek AFT software will automatically print to the default printer.
See windows help for more details.
START SOFTWARE
1.0 Double tap on the friction tester ICON on the main screen and the
software will start, the instrument is now ready for use.
PASSWORD PROTECTION
If you want to run password protection on the instrument (this stops the
operator altering and deleting test methods and results), a password
should be set up now.

Go to MAIN MENU>OPTIONS>PASSWORD PROTECTION
Press the help button for graphical instructions.

The instrument will prompt for a password- the factory default password is
“Rhopoint” (note: capital R).
3.0 Type this password in using the on-screen keyboard. The instrument will
now allow the user to change and activate password protection.
Before running a test it is advisable to become familiar with the test
methods and equipment used.
