Disconnection
When disconnecting the charger, first unplug the power cord, then release the clip that is connected
to the chassis, and finally the clip that is connected to the battery�
Using for auxiliary starting

Connect the battery charger to the battery as per step 1 in the instructions for charging the
battery�

Pres the Engine start button�
3�
The engine start icon is shown on the display to show that the vehicle is ready to be
started�
4�
Try starting the engine according to the instructions for the vehicle (normally 3–5 seconds
each time)� The LCD screen shows "5 sec" to indicate a 5 second pause�
NOTE:
If the battery voltage is higher than 4�2 V it will be possible to start the engine� Otherwise LO is
shown on the display and an alarm signal sounds�
IMPORTANT:
Wait 4–5 minutes before trying to start again�

MAINTENANCE
Storage
• When not in use, store the appliance in a dry and well ventilated area�
• When necessary clean the casing, power cord and cables with a dry or slightly damp cloth�
• Unplug the power cord and disconnect the charger from the battery before cleaning�
• Wind up the cables and power cord loosely before putting away the appliance� Do not wind
them round the appliance, or fasten them with cable ties or the like�
TROUBLESHOOTING
No battery charge
Check that all the connections between the charger and battery are correct� Check that the power
cord on the charger is properly plugged into the mains� For other error messages, see display on
appliance�
