Installing the mounting
brackets
□
Thread the two studs (AA) through the offset
gem bar (B). The distance between the
mounting holes is 2.8”.
□
Adjust the length of the studs (AA) using the
hex nuts (CC).
□
Attach the flat mounting bar (A) to the outlet
box using the long screws (BB).
□
Position the offset gem bar (B) horizontally on
the flat mounting bar (A) and secure using the
short screws (FF).
IMPORTANT:
If a 4” square junction box is
used, then a square to round, flat converter must
be placed to accept the gem bar provided.

Connecting the wires
CAUTION:
Make sure the main power is off at
the fuse or circuit breaker box. Check the power
wires for damage or scrapes. If the power supply
wires are within three inches of the ballast power
supply, use wire suitable for at least 90°C (194°F).
Most dwellings built before 1985 have supply
wire rated to 60°C. Consult a qualified electrician
before installing.
IMPORTANT:
All wiring must take place inside
the junction box.
□
Connect the black wire (GG) from the fixture to
the black wire (GG) from the power source.
□
Connect the white wire (HH) from the fixture to
the white (neutral) wire (HH) from the power
source.
□
Connect the grounding wire (II) from the fixture
to the grounding wire (II) from the power
supply.
□
After you connect all the wires appropriately,
secure the connections with wire nuts (DD).
□
Tuck all connections neatly into the junction
box.

Mounting the fixture
□
Align the mounting holes in the backplate (C)
with the two studs (AA).
□
Insert the two studs (AA) through the backplate
(C), and secure the fixture with the two acorn
nuts (EE).
□
Restore the power at the fuse or circuit
breaker box.
