Operating instruction
1. Programming the on and off times
To program the on and off times, push the black tabs down that
correspond to the desired time. 1 tab corresponds to 30 minutes. If a
longer time period is required, then the corresponding number of tabs
(increments of 30 minutes) must be pushed down.

2. Setting the current time
Turn the time dial clockwise until the arrow on the inner ring of the dial
points to the current time.
3. Connecting the timer switch to the
mains, connecting electrical devices to
the timer switch
Insert the timer switch’s plug into a 230 V
socket with earth contact. Then insert the
mains plug (IP44) of the electrical device
to be switched into the timer’s socket with
earth contact. The product may only be used
indoors or in protected outdoor areas (e.g.
below eaves/roof overhang, in a garage, etc.).
The timer switch may only be operated in the
position described in the following. The socket must face upwards and
the dial for setting the time must face downwards.

5. Safety notes
•
The timer meets the requirements for the IP 44 rating, which means
it is splash-proof and can be used outdoors. Water jets should not be
aimed at the product (e.g. a garden hose or other irrigation systems)!
Operate the product either indoors or in protected outdoor areas (e.g.
below eaves/roof overhang, in a garage, etc.). Protect the product from
rain. Otherwise there is a risk of a life-threatening electric shock!

Never connect the timer switch to an extension cable or adapter. Only
plug it directly into the socket, otherwise it can overheat.
•
Do not operate the product outside the power limits given in the
specifications.
•
Disconnect from the mains before cleaning the device.
•
Clean the device using only a dry, lint-free cloth.
•
Do not use this product with any devices that are motorised or any devic-
es that have a rotating component or workpiece. There is a risk of injury.
•
Immediately disconnect the device from the mains if defects occur and
do not operate it any longer.
•
Repair work may only be performed by authorised specialists.
•
Keep this product, as all electrical products, out of the reach of children!
•
Connect the product only to a socket that has been approved for the
device. The socket must be installed close to the product and must be
easily accessible.
•
The product may only be operated with the type of power supply
network described on the name plate.

damage resulting from improper installation/mounting, improper use of
the product or from failure to observe the operating instructions and/
or safety notes.
7. Note on environmental protection:
After the implementation of the European Directive 2012/19/
EU and 2006/66/EU in the national legal system, the following
applies: Electric and electronic devices as well as batteries
must not be disposed of with household waste. Consumers
are obliged by law to return electrical and electronic devices
as well as batteries at the end of their service lives to the public collecting
points set up for this purpose or point of sale. Details to this are defined
by the national law of the respective country. This symbol on the product,
the instruction manual or the package indicates that a product is subject
to these regulations. By recycling, reusing the materials or other forms of
