Note – Signal search
•
The alarm clock automatically searches for
a DCF signal once every hour if you have
activated it with manual settings in the
ON
position. If a DCF signal is received, the
alarm clock overwrites the information that
you set manually. If the DCF time is different
from the time zone, you have to deactivate
this by switching it to
OFF
in the manual
settings. This allows the DCF radio signal to
be completely switched off when not in use.

If you want to activate the DCF search
manually, press the
q
button (3) for
approximately 3 seconds. The search status
will be shown in the display with the radio
symbols described above. If you want to
deactivate the search manually, repeat the
same step.
Note – Summer time
The clock automatically switches to summer
time.
S
appears in the display when
summer time is shown.
Note – Time zone
•
The DCF signal can be received over long
distances but it always transmits the current
Central European Time in Germany. Make
sure you account for the time difference in
countries in other time zones.
•
If you are in Moscow, the time is 3 hours
later than in Germany. This means that you
should set +3 for the time zone. The clock
then sets the time automatically to 3 hours
ahead after receiving the DCF signal or
according to the manually set time.

Note – Day of the week
For the day of the week display, you can
choose English (EN), German (GE), Italian
(IT), French (FR), Spanish (SP), Dutch (DU), or
Swedish (SW).
