and information completely. Keep these operating
instructions in a safe place for future reference.
1. Explanation of Warning Symbols and Notes

2. Extent of Delivery

3. Safety Instructions
• This product is intended for private, non-commercial
use only.
• Only use the product for the intended purpose.
• Protect the product from dirt, moisture and
overheating.
• Only use it in dry locations.
• Do not use the product in the immediate vicinity of
heaters or other heat sources or in direct sunlight.
• Lay all cables so that they do not pose a tripping
hazard.
• Do not bend or crush the power supply unit’s cable.
• Do not drop the product and do not expose it to any
major shocks.
• Children should be supervised to ensure that they do
not play with the product.
• Dispose of packaging material immediately according
to locally applicable regulations.
• Do not modify the device in any way. Doing so voids
the warranty.
• The product is intended for indoor use only.
• Use the item only in moderate climatic conditions.
• Keep this product, as all electrical products, out of the
reach of children!
• Do not operate the product outside the power limits
given in the specifications.
• Do not use the product in areas where the use of
electronic devices is not permitted.
• Do not use the product in moist environments and
avoid splashes.
• Keep the packaging material out of the reach of
children due to the risk of suffocation.
• Always pull directly on the plug when disconnecting
the cable, never on the cable itself.
Risk of electric shock
• Do not use the product if the power supply unit, the
connection cable or the switch itself is damaged.
• Do not attempt to service or repair the product
yourself. Leave any and all service work to qualified
experts.
• Do not open the device or continue to operate it if
it becomes damaged.

5. System Requirements
• Computer or laptop with an available network port
• Multimedia terminal devices with available network
ports
• Internet router with an available network port for
Internet access
• Supports all commonly used operating systems such
as Windows, Mac OS X, Linux, etc. with integrated
network support.
6. Product Features
• Full duplex data transfers
The Hama switch is a very fast network distributor
for home use. The switch complies with the IEEE
802.3/802.3u/802.3x/802.3az 10/100 Mbps Ethernet
standard and enables data transfers in full duplex mode.
This makes the transfer rates almost twice as fast if the
connected devices are also full duplex capable. This
allows you to make the most of your Ethernet network’s
performance. The maximum speed in full duplex mode
is 200 Mbps.
