3.2 Functional description
The lifting pins are intended exclusively as lifting/hoisting accessory for lifting and holding
individual loads.
The lifting pins consist of the following components:
– Sleeve
–
Balls
– Press bolt
– Press button
– Spring
– Bolt and nut
– Shackle
To insert the lifting pin, the operator must keep the press button pressed. This causes the
balls to be retracted via the press bolt. The operator can now insert the lifting pin into the
hole and then release the press button. The press button and the press bolt are reset by
the spring and the balls are pushed out again. The lifting pin aligns itself under tensile
load.
By pressing and holding the press button, the balls can retract again and the lifting pin
can be removed from the hole. The press button can then be released again.
