5. TROUBLESHOOTING

The unit will not operate
when the power switch
is turned ON.
CHECK
: Is the AC adapter connected
properly?
ACTION
: Connect the connector and plug it in
properly.
CHECK
: Is the Fan Lock lamp turned ON?
ACTION : If any foreign objects are caught in
the fan, remove them.
CHECK
: Is the cover securely attached to the
unit?
ACTION
: Make sure the cover is securely
attached to the unit.
CHECK
: Has dust or other foreign matter
collected on the electrodes?
ACTION
: Clean the tips of the electrodes.
CHECK
: Is the filter dirty?
ACTION
: Change the filter.
CHECK
: Is the High Voltage lamp turned
ON?
ACTION
: If any foreign objects have attached
to the electrodes, remove them.
If any other failures (abnormal odor, smoke, abnormal
noise etc.) are found, or if you cannot solve your
problem with the suggestions above, contact your
Hakko representative.

The air is flowing
but the static is not
eliminated.

To avoid electric shock, always unplug the power cord before inspecting the inside of
the unit or changing parts.
