Step 12. Installing the canopy
After connecting the fan’s power supply, raise the canopy to the
mounting bracket, lining up the four holes on the canopy to the
holes on the bracket.
Secure the canopy to the mounting bracket with the (4) painted
M4 x 6 mm screws. Ensure no wires or the safety cable are
showing. Test the fan.

Step 11. Securing the safety cable
Loop the safety cable around the mounting bracket, and then secure it with the safety cable
shackle.
Special Note:
If you are installing the fan in
Canada
, the
safety cable must be secured to an existing part of the
building structure instead of the outlet box. Examples of
acceptable building structures include a wooden beam
or a metal mounting brace secured between two beams.
In some cases, it may be necessary to install additional
structural material to provide attachment points. If you
have concerns about installing the safety cable, consult a
structural engineer.
