I’m being prompted unexpectedly
for WEP key, username or
passphrase.
Network security or encryption is on.
•
To check the settings associated with the current network: from the Main Menu, select “Settings,” then “Wireless
settings,” and then “Familiar networks.” Select the network you are trying to access, to determine whether it is
normal for you to be prompted for authentication information.
•
Ask the network administrator for authentication information.
For more information, please consult the section entitled “Wireless Security.”
ibiza Rhapsody
displays a popup
that says that the network is
restricted or disabled.
You have successfully connected with a wireless access point but the access point cannot connect you to the
Internet.
•
if this network uses WEP security, check with network administrator. The WEP key may have been changed. If
this is the case, obtain the new WEP key from the administrator. Input this key when prompted by
ibiza
Rhapsody
.
•
Contact the network administrator to verify that the access point is currently connected to the Internet.
•
Some wireless networks use a “white list” of permitted users. Contact the network administrator to ensure that
you are on the list of permitted users.
•
If you know of an existing, temporary condition that prevents the access point from communicating with the
Internet, you can continue trying to connect by selecting “Keep using it.”
