This machine is equipped with a bulk detergent
reservoir that can hold approximately 75-ounces
of liquid detergent. When the Tank Low or Tank
Empty LED is illuminated, more detergent should
be added to the reservoir.
The bulk tank level sensor is located in the
control panel area, under the dosing pump (for
900/905 models only).
The Tank Low or Tank Empty alert is set when
the bulk tank detergent level has gone below the
bulk tank level sensor.
Bulk Tank Level Sensor Diagnosing
The bulk tank level sensor is supplied with 5 VDC
from J801 of the main board.
If the bulk tank display status indicates the tank is
low or empty but the tank is full, verify the output
voltage at the main board J801, from pins 1 to 3.
If no voltage is present, the main board will need
to be replaced. If the 5 VDC is present at J801
of the main board, the bulk tank level sensor will
need to be replaced.
Bulk Tank Level Sensor Removal
1. Remove backsplash assembly and main
board (see the
Cabinet and Structure
section of this guide). Remove the top cover
assembly (see the
Capacitor (For 600/605
Models Only)
section of this service guide).
2. Remove the dosing pump (see
Dosing Pump

in this section of the service
guide).
3. Disconnect harness from control unit to the
bulk tank level Sensor.
4. Pull out the bulk tank level sensor assembly
from bulk tank.
The dispenser drawer holds detergent, fabric
softener and PODs, delivering at precise times
for the cycle selected. Water is added to the
dispenser from the water valve to fill and flush
the cups. After the valve turns off, the remaining
water in the cup siphons out.
