With this hacker SCALAR motor you purchased a product that is designed not just for the
competition, but also for all recreational riders who expect maximum performance and
reliability of its brushless motor.

PRECAUTIONS & WARNINGS
Read these instructions carefully before using your new motor!
Avoid using a wrong gear ratio by continuously monitoring the motor and controller tempera-
ture.
Make sure that the motor temperature does not exceed 80 ° C and the controller temperature
does not exceed 90 °C.
When mounting the motor, pay attention to the correct length of screws and not to over thigt
them with to excessive torque force.
ASSEMBLY
During assembly, make sure that you use high quality screws. Screws made of brass, or
aluminum is not suitable for this case!
The screws should not protrude more than 5mm in the motor housing as this could damage
the motor winding her.
Damage caused by excessively long screws will be not covered by the warranty.
The SCALAR has 3 U-shaped solder contacts, which are labeled A, B and C. Solder your
controller - according to controller instructions - to the motor.
During the soldering process, ensure that the connections are not shorted by solder to each
other.
CLEANING & MAINTENANCE
Clean your SCALAR motor regularly in the area of ball bearings with a brush and oils to the
ball bearings with a suitable ball bearing oil.
Avoid the use of brake cleaner or other cleaning spray.
GEAR RATIO & TIMING
Gear ratio and timing will depend on many factors, so that we can give only recommendations
at this point.
Basically, you should consider the instructions of your car.
An important criterion to determine whether your engine is working properly, make sure that
the temperature should never exceed 80 ° C. Take care and start with a conservative gear
ratio.
ATTENTION:
An increase of the timing brings automatically an increase of the temperature; this is depends
on both, the timing that is set on the engine, as well as the timing, which is simulated with the
controller.
A higher timing involves the risk that all components (motor, controller, battery) can be
overloaded and in extreme cases to a total loss of the drive system. If you have only little
experience in adjusting and optimization of timing, you should take extreme care and caution.
Normally, the timing must not be changed because all the SCALAR engines are delivered with
an ideal factory setting.

GERNERAL WARRANTY PROVISIONS
Hacker Motor GmbH products will be manufactured in accordance with the highest quality
criterias.
We provide the legal guarantee, to be free of defects on material and workmanship.
There will be no liability for typical use sign of wear.
The warranty does not cover defects which are a result of misuse, improper maintenance, or
mechanical damage.
This is among other things on:

Outside mechanical damage.
•
Overload.
•
Damages on the totor due to high pollution.
•
rust
•
use of agressive cleaning agent
REGULATIONS FOR REPAIR
Before returning your product for repair, please check all other components in order to avoid
any operator error..
By returning of the product, the customer, should identify whether the product will be repaired
in any case or not. In the case that no warranty or guarantee applies, the product testing and
possible repair or service will be charged according to our price list. A guarantee or warranty
can only be accepted if a copy of your receipt is attached. On request, we will offer you a repair
quote. On our repair quote, we are bound for two weeks from the date of issue. By carrying out
the repair the cost for the repair quote will not be charged. For quick repair and return service,
please provide a detailed description of the failure and full address details.
This symbol on the products and / or accompanying documents means that used electrical and
electronic products must be at the end of their lifetime separated from household waste.
Please take these products for the treatment, recovery and recycling to designated collection
points, which will receive the devices free of charge.
The Proper disposal of this product, prevent any potential adverse effects on humans and the
environment which could otherwise arise from inappropriate waste handling at the end of its
