4.5.2 Sample Calibration

Remove the probe from the process and clean it

Obtain a sample solution with a known value.

Highlight the appropriate sensor if more than one sensor is attached.

CALIBRATE

SAMPLE CAL

Choose from the available Output Mode options (Active, Hold, or Transfer). An output 

that has been placed in Hold or Transfer status will be automatically released when the 

calibration is complete.

Move the clean probe to the sample.

The display will prompt for entry of a salinity value. Use the 

UP

 and 

DOWN

 keys to 

change the digit that is flashing. Press the 

LEFT

 key to move to another digit.

The display will show “Press Enter When Stable” and the current DO and temperature 

readings. When 

ENTER

 is pressed or when the reading has been accepted as stable, 

the display will change to an entry screen. If 

ENTER

 is not pressed, the sensor will 

determine when the reading is stable. If it is not stable within 45 minutes, the display 

will show “Unable to Calibrate”.

When a stable reading has been accepted, the display will show “Sample Value” and 

an area for entry of the sample value. Edit the displayed reading.

The display will show a response from

Return the probe to the process.

The display will show “Press Enter when Stabilized” and the current DO and 

temperature readings. When 

ENTER

 is pressed or when the reading has been 

accepted as stable, the display will change to an entry screen. If 

ENTER

 is not pressed, 

the sensor will determine when the reading is stable. Two to three minutes for the 

reading to stabalize is typical, however, if it has not stabilized after 45 minutes, the 

display will show 

“Unable to Calibrate”.

area for entry of the value obtained from the Winkler Titration.
