Using Your Garment Steamer
11) When you have finished using the Garment Steamer,
turn the Power Button to the OFF position and unplug
the unit. If you will not be using the unit again soon,
be sure to drain all the remaining water from the
Resevoir Tank and also the internal tank by opening
the Excess Water Removal Valve (Fig 8) and emptying
the excess. We do not recommend storing the unit
with water in the tanks for long periods of time.
Using the Garment Steamer Accessories:
Please use each accessory properly with regard
to the item and/or location to be cleaned. Refer
below for instructions and tips for use of each.
Crease Tool and extra Clip:
•
The Crease Tool attaches to the steam head for
perfect creases or crisp shirt cuffs and collars. Just
clip it to the tab on the underside of the steam head.
Place the garment between the steam head and the
open Crease Tool, close to hold the crease firmly
while steaming it to set. (Fig 9)
Use the extra clip to hold sleeves tight while
steaming or as extra tension on hems using the
bottom crossbar. (Fig 10)
When attending to detailed pressing of a garment,
one hand can be used to control the wand of the
steam head and the other hand, in the Pressing
Mitt, can hold the garment so that tension can be
achieved. There is an additional clip that can be
used to help hold the garment. The hand holding
the garment and the hand holding the wand should
move in unison for quick and easy steaming.
Up and Down:
• When steaming clothing using the Garment Valet,
move the wand lightly in upward and downward
movements. Wagging the handle side to side can
result in water droplets falling from the steam head
openings. (Fig 11a & 11b)
CAUTION: Never hold steam head down while at
rest or tilt it in a backward position as this may result
in hot water discharge.
