In the above figure, the PCs are connected to a SecPath firewall running the PPPoE
client. On-line data reach the firewall before being encapsulated via PPPoE. The ADSL
Modem attached to the firewall reaches the ADSL access server and finally access the
Internet. In this way, the Internet accessing is realized without additionally installing
PPPoE client dialing software by the user.
3.2 Configuring the PPPoE Client

3.2.1 Configuring a Dialer Interface
Before configuring PPPoE session, you should first configure a dialer interface and
configure a dialer bundle on the interface. Each PPPoE session uniquely corresponds
to a dialer bundle and each dialer bundle uniquely corresponds to a dialer interface.
Thus, a PPPoE session can be created via a dialer interface.
Execute the
dialer-rule
and
interface dialer
commands in system view, and execute
other commands below in dialer interface view.
