After the FTP server is enabled and the user is added onto the
H3C SecPath F100-C, any FTP client program can use the username
and password to log onto the FTP server.
III. Uploading/downloading an application
program/configuration file and uploading Boot ROM program
Step 1
: In the DOS environment, access the directory containing
the application program/Boot ROM/configuration file. Execute the
ftp
command to set up an FTP connection with the H3C SecPath F100-C,
for example:
C:\version\ftp 10.110.10.10
If the connection is set up, the following message appears (taking
Windows98 for example):
Connected to 10.110.10.10
220 FTP server ready on SecPath Gateway at
User(10.110.10.10:(none)):
Step 2
: Log onto the FTP server using the username and
password set on the H3C SecPath F100-C.
User(10.110.10.10:(none)): SecPath Gateway
331 Password required for ftp

Appearance of the prompt “ftp>” indicates that you can begin
uploading/downloading the desired file.
