route-policy-name
: Route policy name with 1 to 19 characters.
value
: Preference for RIP routes, in the range of 1 to 255. The smaller the value, the higher the
preference.
Description
Use the
preference
command to specify the preference for RIP routes.
Use the
undo preference
command to restore the default.
By default, the RIP route preference is 100.
You can specify a route policy by using the keyword
route-policy
to set a preference for RIP
routes matching the route policy.
z
The preference set by the route policy applies to all matching RIP routes. The preference of
other routes is set by the
preference
command.
z
If no preference is set by the route policy, the preference of all RIP routes is set by the
preference
command.
