NOTE: 

•

 

After loading the boot file, use the 

reboot

 command to restart the switch to make the upgrade take effect

(make sure you have saved other configurations before restart).  

•

 

If the flash memory does not have enough space, load the Boot ROM file first, and then delete certain 
boot files from the flash memory (delete the unused host program files); then, load the boot file to the 

switch through FTP for upgrade.  

•

 

Avoid any power failure during the loading process.  

 

Loading files by using TFTP 

Loading a file through TFTP is similar to loading a file through FTP. The switch can serve only as a TFTP 

client that downloads the file from the TFTP server to its flash memory. The procedure after download is 

the same as loading the file remotely through FTP.
