Grounding the switch through the PE wire of the AC power
module
CAUTION:
•
Make sure the AC power module uses a three-wire cable with a protection wire (PE), and the PE wire
of the AC power module is reliably grounded.
•
Make sure the PE connector on the switch is connected securely to the PE wire of the AC power
module.
When the switch is AC powered and no grounding strip is available at the installation site, you can
ground the switch through the PE wire of the AC power module, as shown in
. This section
describes how to ground the S12510-X AC switch with five power modules installed. You can select
appropriate number of power modules as needed.

Grounding the switch through the RTN wire of the DC power
module
CAUTION:
Make sure the RTN wire is reliably grounded from the DC egress of the DC power cabinet.
When the switch is powered by a –48V DC power source and no grounding strip is available at the
installation site, you can ground the switch through the RTN wire of the DC power module, as shown
