Connecting interface cables
Connect cables to the interfaces on the router before powering on the router.
The following uses an Ethernet copper port and an Ethernet fiber port as examples to describe the
cable connection procedures.
Connecting an Ethernet copper cable

Connect one end of the cable to the Ethernet copper port on the router. Connect the other end
of the cable to the Ethernet copper port on the peer device.
The fixed ports on the router are MDI/MDIX autosensing. You can use straight-through or
crossover network cables to connect the ports.
