Step 2: As shown in
, connect one end of the first power cord to the power
input on the rear of the chassis, and plug the other end to the AC power outlet (mains);
connect one end of the other power cord to the power input on the rear of the chassis,
and plug the other end to the power socket of the UPS.

Finally, check whether the PWR LED on the rear panel of the IX1000 is blinking. If the
LED is blinking, this means that the power cords have been properly connected.
Caution:
Make sure that the ground cable has been properly connected before powering on your
IX1000.
3.8 Connecting the Console Cable
3.8.1 Appearance of the Console Cable
As shown in
, a console cable is an 8-core cable, of which one end is a
crimped RJ-45 connector for connection to the serial port of an IX1000, and the other
end is a DB-9 female connector for connection to a 9-pin (male) serial port on the
console terminal or the UPS.
