Installing an interface module
Keep the removed filler panels and screws in an anti-static bag for future use.
Installing a SIC
CAUTION:
SICs are not hot swappable. Make sure the router is powered off before installing a SIC.
Only MSR5620 routers support SICs.
To install a SIC:
1.
Remove the screws with a Phillips screwdriver to remove the filler panel.
Keep the removed filler panel for future use.
2.
Push the SIC slowly along the guide rails into the slot until it makes close contact with the
backplane of the router.
3.
Use a Phillips screwdriver to fasten the captive screws on the SIC.
