Setting configuration terminal parameters
To configure and manage the gateway through the console port, you must run a terminal emulator
program, TeraTermPro or PuTTY, on your PC. You can use the emulator program to connect a
network device, a Telnet site, or an SSH site. For more information about the terminal emulator
programs, see the user guides for these programs.
The following are the required terminal settings:

Baud rate
—9600.
•
Data bits
—8.
•
Stop bits
—1.
•
Parity
—none.
•
Flow control
—none.
Connecting the AC power cord
1.
Make sure the gateway is reliably grounded.
2.
Connect one end of the power cord to the AC-input receptacle on the gateway. Use a power
cord clasp or removable cable tie to secure the plug of the power cord in place.
3.
Connect the other end of the power cord to an AC power source.
The power cord in Figure 20 and Figure 21 is for illustration only.
