Installing and removing the card
CAUTION:
•
Wear a well-grounded ESD wrist strap or ESD gloves before you install or remove the card.
•
Do not touch the components on the PCB.
The slots on the H3C S10500/S7500E switches are either horizontally oriented or vertically oriented.
When installing the LSUM1WCME0 in a horizontal slot, make sure its PCB faces up. When installing the
LSUM1WCME0 in a vertical slot, make sure its PCB faces left.
This section uses a horizontally-oriented card to describe the installation and removal procedures.
5.1
Installing the card
1.
Remove the blank filler panel from the slot for the card at the front of the switch.
This examples uses slot 6.
2.
Place the card horizontally with the surface-mounted components facing up. Pull outward the
ejector levers and gently push the card in along the slot guide rails until the card is in close contact
with the backplane.
3.
Push the ejector levers inward.
4.
Tighten the captive screws with a Phillips screwdriver to secure the card in the slot.
