1 .02 Purpose
The sling can be used to lift the patient’s upper body, lower leg, foot, arm and
pelvis at hospitals, assisted living facilities, physical therapy centres and in
the patient’s home.
The sling is designed for use in both mobile lifters and lifting hoist systems.
The multi support sling is ideal for lifting various body parts, such as heavy
legs in connection with fitting lifting slings, or when personal hygiene and
other patient care tasks are performed.
Conditions for use
The following prerequisites apply whenever the sling is used:

The sling must only be used by qualified personnel or individuals who have
received instruction in how to use the sling in question.
• The correct sling size must be used.
• The maximum lifting capacity of 225 kg must never be exceeded.
• The caregiver must be aware of the patient’s well-being when using the lifting sling.
• The sling is to be used with a Guldmann lifting hanger.
1 .03 Important/Precautions
• Read the instructions carefully before using the sling.
• The slings maximum load must never be exceeded.
• The sling may only be used to lift a person.
• Before a sling is used, it must be examined according to point 2.02.
• Never use a sling that is too big for the user.
• Possible repairs must only be made by the manufacturer.
1 .04 Use
If there is any doubt about the selection or use of a lifting sling, please
contact your supplier.
Important!
Plan the moving procedure and do not use the sling without supervision.
Before lifting, ensure that the patient cannot become stuck and that the sling
is not caught on the bed, wheelchair or on other surrounding items. The
patient’s head, arms, hands and feet must not be in danger of becoming trap-
ped. Be careful with any tubes or wires that may be attached to the patient
