ASSEMBLY INSTRUCTIONS
Step 1: ASSEMBLE THE MOUNTING BAR
Start by inserting the mounting bars [D1 & D2] into each other. The ends of the
tubes that go together on the mounting bar and the mounting bar
extensions are labeled “A”, “B” or “C”. Match the letters (A to A, B to B,
etc.) and insert the male (tapered) end into the female (non-tapered)
end, matching up the spring lock on the male end with the hole in the
female end. (Fig.1)
Next, insert the mounting bar extensions [E1 & E2] into each open end of the
mounting bar. Match up the spring locks on the mounting bar extensions with the
holes on the mounting bars. (Fig. 1)

Step 2: ATTACH MOUNTING BAR TO THE SNOW THROWER HANDLEBAR
The assembled mounting bar [D1-D2 & E1-E2] mounts to the handlebars of your
machine with an adjustable U-bolt system designed to fit a variety of different
machines.
The bars must be mounted on your machine in a way that will not interfere with
its operation, controls, lights or moving parts.
The preferred mounting location for the horizontal mounting bars is on the
front (motor side) of the handlebars. However you may need to mount the bars on
the back of the handlebar.
The mounting bar should be placed on the handlebars a minimum of 24" and a
maximum of 30" from the ground (as measured from the bar end). This will allow
headroom of at least 6.5' in the peak of the cab roof.
Please see the diagrams below for correct and incorrect installation of the
mounting plates [I & J] when attaching mounting bar to the handlebars. (Fig. 2)
While holding the assembled mounting bars in a horizontal position at the
correct height, slide two U-bolts [H] from the backside of the snow thrower (not
the motor side) through the back mounting plate [I] and the front mounting plate
[J] positioned on the front side. (Fig. 3) Thread four 5/16"-18 locknuts [G] on to
the four U-bolt stud and tighten slightly. Repeat on the other handlebar upright.
After all four U-bolts are installed and all eight nuts are threaded, set the mounting
bar to a horizontal position and fully tighten all eight nuts.
