Functions and operation using
the Jog-Shuttle on the hi-fi system
As an alternative to the remote control, you can
also perform many functions using the
Jog-Shuttle on the hi-fi system.
The following section shows you all the functions
possible and where they are located in the
menu.
Functions
The Jog-Shuttle has four function settings:

VOL « (initial position)
– For setting the volume.

– In tuner mode:
– AUTO TUNE: Starts the automatic station
search.
– TUNE: Manual station tuning in 50
kHz increments.
– FM MODE: Stereo/mono switching.

– In CD–mode, SD–mode, USB–mode:
– ALBUM: (if available on data medium).
– SKIP:
Next/previous track.

MODE

– FM, AUX, iPod, CD, SD, USB: input sources.
– SETUP: – TIME SET: Sets the time.
– TIMER SET: Sets the timer.
– VERSION: Software version.
– RESET:
Factory defaults.
– REC
QUALITY: Selects Standard or
Long Play recording.
»
VOL
«
– VOLUME: For setting the volume.
– UBS:
Ultrabass system on/off.
– EQ: Selects the sound setting
(USER, CLASSIC, POP, JAZZ,
ROCK, EQ OFF).
– USER: Sets bass and treble for
individual sound setting.
Operation
Press on the Jog-Shuttle to select the next menu
and turn the Jog-Shuttle to scroll through the
menu items. Press » « on the top section of your
hi-fi system to activate the desired menu item.
Note:

If no entry is made within 10 seconds, the
hi-fi system exits the input mode.
Example – setting the timer
The initial position of the Jog-Shuttle is » VOL «.
1 Press on the Jog-Shuttle to select the » MODE «
menu.

Turn the Jog-Shuttle until the »
SETUP
« menu
item appears.
3 Activate the menu item with » «.
– The »
TIME SET
« sub–menu is displayed.

Turn the Jog-Shuttle until the »
TIMER SET
« sub–
menu item appears.
5 Activate the sub–menu with » «.

Select »
TIMER ON
« by turning the Jog-Shuttle
and confirm it by pressing the » «;
– Display: the hours flash.
or
select »
TIMER OFF
« by turning the Jog-Shuttle
and confirm it by pressing the » «.
– The Timer function is switched off.

Enter the hour for the switch–on time by turning
the Jog-Shuttle and confirm with » «.
8 Enter the minutes for the switch–on time by
turning the Jog-Shuttle and confirm with » «.
9 Enter the input source by turning the
Jog-Shuttle and confirm with » «.
Note:

If you select the FM input source, you must
also set the preset and the volume and then
confirm.
