Mains operation

Note:

Check that the mains voltage on the type plate (on the bottom of the device)
corresponds to your local mains supply. If this is not the case, contact your
specialist dealer.

1

Plug the power cord into the wall socket (230 V~, 50 Hz).

Caution:

The device is connected to the mains with the power plug. To fully dis-
connect the device from the mains, pull out the plug.
The mains plug is used to disconnect the device. It shall remain readily ope-
rable and should not be obstructed during intended use.

Inserting the back-up battery

During mains operation, the back-up battery ensures that stored settings
are not lost in the case of a power failure or when the device is briefly discon-
nected from the mains.

1

Open the battery compartment on the bottom of the device by pressing the
marked surface, pushing back the cover and removing it.

2

When inserting the battery (9 V, 6LF 22 type) note the polarity determined
by the contacts.

3

Reinsert the cover and push it forward until it clicks into place.

Note:

Take out the back-up battery when you know that the device will not be
used for a long period of time. The manufacturer accepts no liability for
damage caused by leaking batteries.

Environmental note:

Batteries, including those that contain no heavy metals, may not be
disposed of with household waste. Please dispose of used batteries in an
environmentally sound manner. Find out about the legal regulations which
apply in your area.
