OPERATION _____________________________

Cutting and thinning func-

tion

The cutting/thinning selector

switch

B

 allows selecting between

cutting and thinning of hair.

Push the switch

B

 upwards to

activate the cutting function.

If a trendy short-hair style is re-

quired and the hair needs to be

thinned by about one third, push

the switch

B

 downwards and

activate the thinning function.

Tip

7

In the thinning mode, always cut

the hair against its natural direc-

tion of growth.

Trimming hair

Place a towel around the neck and

shoulders  of  the  person  whose

hair you are trimming. Make sure

that the person is seated so that his

head is roughly at your eye level.

This allows ease of visibility while

cutting and a relaxed hold on the

appliance.

Adjust the trimming length by

referring to the “Selecting the

trimming length” section.

Turn on the appliance by press-

ing the on/off switch

F

.

  –

The motor starts running and

the speed setting touch con-

trols

E

 light up.

7

The hair should first be combed,

and then generally cut against

its natural growing direction.

Place the blade

A

 on the per-

son’s hair.

Move the blade

A

against the

direction of hair growth. Apply

only a slight pressure when

cutting with slow, gentle move-

ments.

7

For a shaped cut, reverse the

appliance and shorten the hair

from top to bottom without an

adjustable comb.

Turn off the appliance by press-

ing the on/off switch

F

.

Useful Tips

7

Allow the comb to cut its way

through the hair for even cutting.

Do not force it through quickly.

Always remember to comb

the hair frequently to remove

trimmed hair and to check for

uneven strands.

7

Hold the trimmer with a comfort-

able grip.
