Q How do I tune in services on my digital receiver?
A. Connect the box to your TV and your aerial to the digital receiver. Once the main menu is
displayed, follow the steps described in this manual. (Refer to Installation - Channel search)
Q How do I know what is showing in Widescreen 16:9?
A. Check the DBAwebsite (http://www.dba.org.au) for widescreen programming.
Q Can I use my digital receiver on a Widescreen or Normal sized television?
A. Yes. There is support for 16:9 Widescreen and 4:3 Normal formats. Press the button
called ASPT on the remote and it will switch screen formats.
Q How do I use the EPG (Electronic Program Guide)?
A. Simply press the button labelled EPG on the remote control. It will show the programs
currently showing and the next program on that television network. If you would like to
see the details of the program press the Green key on the remote control.
Q What is the System Status menu on the digital receiver?
The system status includes the software version, hardware version and bootloader
version numbers.

Q What are MPEG Artefacts?
A. Sometimes the picture may appear to be slightly blocky. These are known as MPEG
artefacts.
They are directly related to MPEG compression at the broadcast side. The extent of
artefacting is related to how fast the picture is moving, numbers of colors, quality of the
original material, the MPEG encoder used at the time, etc. This is not a problem with the STB.
Q I cannot get teletext to function?
A. The AUSTEXT Service is available on the Seven Network.
Q Subtitles don’t always appear. Why?
A. Not all programs are captioned. New programs should always have captions available.
Q When using HDMI, I cannot select PAL (576i) mode. Why?
A. This is normal that the mode does not exist. HDMI is for High Definition mode only.
