Selecting the television picture conversion
If you have a 4:3 format television or flat screen, the following
settings are available:
»Pan-Scan« for wide-screen playback without black bars on the top
and bottom edges of the screen.
»Letterbox« for wide-screen playback with black bars on the top
and bottom edges of the screen.

Encrypted satellite reception
This digital receiver has two Common Interface (CI) slots. These
interfaces allow you to connect a CI module for various encryption
systems.
Encrypted satellite channels can only be viewed with a CI module
suitable for the encryption system and the appropriate smart card.
It contains all the functions for authorisation, decryption and sub-
scription for various satellite channels of different providers.

Insert the CI module into »PCMCIA SLOT 1« or »PCMCIA
SLOT 2«.
Notes:
Push the module carefully into the slot. Do not use force and
make sure the module is straight.
Follow the operating instructions for the CI module.
