–Use the screen grid controls (SCREEN) R, G and B on
the focus block (p. 1-26, Fig. 9) so that the respective
beam just becomes invisible again.
–Use the direct-control buttons

to select the service
functions RCUT, GCUT and BCUT then use the
buttons
Ł ĵ
to adjust so that the black area becomes
achromatic.
–If necessary end the service mode by pressing the standby
button

or switching the set off.
a) Loosen the wing nut (see Fig. ) of the
lens unit to be adjusted (e.g. red).
Turn the lens unit so that a uniform
sharpness is obtained.
Retighten the wing nut.
b) Use the focus control (e.g. R) on the
focus block (p. 1-26, Fig. 9) to adjust for best sharpness
in the screen centre.
c) Repeat the steps a) and b) if necessary.
d) If necessary end the service mode by pressing the standby
button

or switching the set off.

functions RDRV and BDRV then use the

adjust an achromatic (white) picture in each case.
–If necessary end the service mode by pressing the standby

buttons to adjust a
voltage of 30mV

10mV.
–If necessary end the service mode by pressing the standby

to adjust the picture
width so that the picture becomes just distorted at the left
and right edge, or just becomes visible.
–Then press the

button 13 times.

–Feed in a grey raster test pattern.
–Contrast: maximum
–Brightness and colour: mid-position.

operating temperature (after at least 30 minutes, better after
2 to 3 hours).

button repeatedly until a raster test pattern
is visible.
–Cover the lens units which are not used (e.g. to adjust the
red lens unit, cover the green and blue ones).

–Connect the voltmeter between TP-V and TP-G (GND).
–Feed in a white raster test pattern.
