Only clean this appliance with a slightly damp cloth.
Always keep hair, clothing and other objects away
from the appliance while it is in use to prevent injury
or damage.
Warning – Danger of burns!
Do not touch the hot soleplate or lean over the
iron while it is being used. Heat rises from the iron
during usage, especially when you are ironing on
the corner of an ironing board! Only touch the iron
by the handle. Beware that surfaces (such as the
ironing board or ironed fabric) are liable to get hot
during use.
Do not iron over zips, metal buttons or other metal
parts, as this could damage the soleplate.
To guarantee the safety of the appliance, do not
alter the safety features in any way.
When you have finished ironing, when you clean the
appliance, when you fill or empty the water tank, or
when you leave the iron for a brief moment: set the
steam control to the “dry” position, place the iron
upright on its heel and unplug it from the wall socket.
When placing the iron on its stand, ensure that the
surface on which the stand is placed is stable.
Always sit the iron upright on its heel when you are
not ironing, leaving it to cool before cleaning or
storing it away.
