8.1.3 Target value external
System capacity control and processing the input and output
signals via the bus system.
• Select the bus system used in the "Basic Settings/Bus
Options" menu, see section
• Activate the bus control in the "Operation mode" (page 2).
Scroll with the arrow [RIGHT] key in the "Operation mode"
menu. Select the "Bus control" mode using the [F2] key.
• Use the [Enter] and [Escape] key to return to the main menu.

• Switch to page 3 using the arrow [RIGHT] key.
• Use the [F1] key to switch to the "local/remote" menu.
• Select control mode using the [F1] or [F2] key.
• Use the [Enter] or [Escape] key to return to the main menu.
Local control
Operation and control of the installation on-site, by manual entry
of the installation capacity in % terms in "Manual" mode.
Remote control
Control of the installation via the bus system in "Automatic"
mode.
8.2 Manual operation
• In the main menu, switch to the "Manual > start?" menu using
the [F1] key.
The input field "x.x" shows the dosing capacity setting in %.
Setting the dosing capacity
• Select the input field "x.x" using the [F1] key.
• Use the [UP] and [DOWN] keys to change the numerical
value, and the arrow [LEFT] and [RIGHT] keys to change the
input field. Dosing capacity range from 0 to 100 %.
• Confirm entry using [Enter] key.
• Activate or deactivate the system using the [Enter] key.
The display changes from "start?" to "active", or from "active"
to "start?". The display shows the most important information
about the operation of the system. Further information,
such as levels, dosing pumps and bypass water, can be
obtained by scrolling with the arrow keys to the pages 2 and 3.

Note
Irrespective of the selected mode, the system can
only be activated in "Manual" mode if the installation
capacity has been set manually in %.
Note
Given the pulse pause control of the dosing pumps
for HCl and NaClO
2
dosing capacity ranges under
2.5 % are not possible.
A dosing capacity set on the display less than 2.5 %
leads to dosing of 0 %.
A dosing capacity set on the display more than 95 %
leads to a dosing capacity of 100 %.

Note
The display pages 2 and 3 (levels, dosing pump,
bypass) are analog to automatic operation,
see section
Note
The operation and functions are the same as in
automatic mode, except the solution container is not
continually filled between the contacts MIN and MAX
as in automatic operation, but rather is only filled
once up to the MAX contact. Then the system shuts
down.
Note
In manual mode, the system does not automatically
switch on when the MIN contact in the solution
container is reached.
