Sanding sheet guidelines
In order to keep proper sizes and spacing of the holes of the tool you can use any dry-running sanding
sheet. The following information should help the user choose optimal sheet designed for a given work.
These are just supporting information, not instructions fork work.
WOOD SANDING
1.
Use sheets marked as “universal” or “for wood use”.
2.
Start with coarse machining using low-weight sheets
3.
Subsequent grit sizes should be twice as big as the previous ones, e.g. K40, K80, K160
4.
Do not use too much pressure.
5.
For wet, resinous wood use sheets with open structure – it will not clog so easily
PAINT AND VARNISH SANDING
1.
Use sheets with open structure. They are most often marked as sheets “for paint use” .
2.
Do not use too much pressure – it will cause the sheet to “clog”.
3.
Low-density sheets are better for the job than high-density, due to the glutinosity of the ma-
terial. They will last longer too.
METAL SANDING
1.
Use zirconia- or ceramic-coated papers – they have longer longevity and enable faster work
than the synthetic corundum.
2.
Under no circumstances do not press the tool against the material – you are more likely to
destroy the sheet and you risk overheating of the sanded material.
3.
Watch out for rims, edges and sharp elements – you can destroy the sanding pad.
TOOL STARTING:
Pay attention to the voltage of the power network to which the tool is plugged. The voltage and fre-
quency of the power source must match the parameters on the identifi cation plate. The power tool
designed for 230V system can be connected to the power network operating at 220V.
When using portable power sources (generators) remember that it can result in drops in capacity, if the
power reserve of the electrical feed is not suffi
cient.
In order to turn on the tool, toggle the ON/OFF switch (2) to “I” position.
To turn off the tool, toggle the ON/OFF switch (2) to “0” position .
Remember! Sanding effi
ciency depends on the density and quality of the sanding sheet. Excessive pres-
sure does not lead to increased work effi
ciency, but it can cause excessive usage of the working tool and
the power tool itself!
CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE:
Unplugging the power cord from the socket is an absolute necessity before the maintenance work is
started!
Any maintenance works or repairs requiring removal of the engine housing must be done by the main
service provider or by authorised service providers.
Keep the tool and the handles dry and clean. Keep clear of grease and oil. Venitalion slots should not
be obscured.
