Adjusting

Installation of the temperature control handle (S) and
temperature adjustment

,

see fold-out page II, Figs. [8], [9]

and [10].
• Before the mixer is put into service, if the mixed water

temperature measured at the point of discharge varies from
the specified temperature set on the thermostat.

• After any maintenance operation on the thermostatic

cartridge.

1. Open the shut-off valve and check the temperature of the

water with a thermometer, see Fig. [8].

2. Turn the regulating nut (Q) clockwise or anticlockwise until

the water temperature reaches 34 °C.

3. Fit stop (R), see figs. [9] and [10].
4. Install temperature control handle (S) so that the

marking (S1) aligns with the blue arrow on the scale ring,
see fig. [9].

5. Install screw (T).

For temperature range adjustment

,

see figs. [9] and [10].

• With this thermostat fitting, the hot water end stop can be set

to between 35 °C and 43 °C.

1. Turn temperature control handle (S) so that marking (S1)

points to the blue arrow on the scale ring, see fig. [9].

2. Remove screw (T) and temperature control handle (S).

Warning:

Regulating nut (Q) must not be adjusted.

3. Remove stop ring (R1) and stop sleeve (R2), see fig. [10].
4. Attach stop ring (R1) with marking (R3) pointing to the

desired maximum temperature on stop sleeve (R2).

5. Reattach stop ring (R1) together with stop sleeve (R2).
6. Install temperature control handle (S) so that the

marking (S1) aligns with the blue arrow on the scale ring,
see fig. [9].

7. Screw in screw (T).
8. Turn temperature control handle (S) to the stop and

measure the set temperature.

Thermal disinfection

,

see fig. [11].

For thermal disinfection, release handle (U) is required
(see Replacement parts, fold-out page I, Prod. no.: 47 764).

1. Turn temperature control handle (S) to the stop.
2. Push release handle (U) onto temperature control

handle (S) up to the stop; only one position is possible.
Observe handle position and hole (V).

3. Turn temperature control handle (S) to the hot water

end stop.

4. Remove release handle (U).
5. Open the shut-off valve and allow hot water at a minimum

temperature of 70 °C to run for three minutes.

6. Turn back temperature control handle (S).

The release jumps back automatically.

Following thermal disinfection, check whether the
previously-set maximum outlet temperature is
achieved again.

Prevention of frost damage

When the domestic water system is drained, thermostat
mixers must be drained separately, since non-return valves
are installed in the hot and cold water connections.
The complete thermostat assemblies and non-return valves
must be unscrewed and removed.

Maintenance

Inspect and clean all parts, replace if necessary and grease
with special valve grease.

Shut off cold and hot water supplies.

I. Thermostatic compact cartridge (W),

see fold-out page II,

figs. [12] and [13].

• Loosen screw ring (Y) using a 34mm tool.
• If necessary, lever out thermostatic compact cartridge (W)

via recess (W1).

• Remove screw ring (Y).

Install in reverse order.

Observe the correct installation position of the
thermostatic compact cartridge (W)

, see detail (W2).

Readjustment is necessary after every maintenance operation
on the thermostatic compact cartridge (see Adjusting).

II. Non-return valve (X),

see fold-out page II figs. [12]

and [14].

Reassemble in reverse order.

Observe the correct mounting positions!

III. Aquadimmer (Z),

see fold-out page II figs. [12] and [14].

Reassemble in reverse order.

Observe the correct mounting positions!

Replacement parts,

see fold-out page I ( * = special

accessories).
