Buffing Wheel Components

A

Refer to the following figures and descriptions to
become familiar with the basic controls and com-
ponents of this machine. Understanding these
items and how they work will help you understand
the rest of the manual and minimize your risk of
injury when operating this machine.

Figure 1. Buffing wheel components.

A. Buffing Wheel: Spins to buff workpiece.

Can be replaced with different buffing/pol-
ishing wheels for different operations and
compounds.

B. Spindle: Secures and spins buffing wheels.

T32253 accepts wheels up to 12" in diameter
with a

" bore. T32254 accepts wheels up to

14" in diameter with a

" bore.

Electrical Components

C

C. ON/OFF Switch w/Disabling Key: Turns

motor

ON when moved up; turns motor OFF

when moved down. When key is removed,
switch is disabled and machine cannot start.

D. Variable-Speed Dial: Rotates to adjust buff-

ing speed. Variable-speed dial must be turned
fully counterclockwise for motor to start.

E. Digital Readout: Displays spindle RPM.
