6. open the battery compartment on the remote
control by sliding the cover, connect the bat-
tery to the terminals inside, then replace the
cover.
7. set the air filter to "remote Control" then re-
connect it to power.
8. push the on and oFF buttons on the remote
control—the transmit light above the buttons
should light while they are pressed. the air
filter should start and stop without any hesi-
tation and without having to push the buttons
more than once.
— if the air filter does not start, disconnect
power to the air filter, ensure that the air
filter is set to "remote Control" and check
all connections and the remote control bat-
tery. if the unit still does not work, continue
with the following
Remote Tuning sec-
tion.
Remote Tuning
the remote control uses radio frequencies to send
signals to the switch on the air filter. sometimes
it is necessary to tune the remote control to
strengthen the signal.
To tune the remote control:
1. reMoVe BAttery FroM reMote
Control!
2. remove the screw from the belt loop bracket
on the remote control, then the two small
screws from the back cover. (one screw
is located in the hole used by the belt loop
screw.)
3. remove the remote control back cover.
4. Carefully remove the printed circuit board
from inside the remote control housing and
turn it over.
5. At the top of the circuit board is a small blue
tuning dial with an X-slotted screw in the
middle. turn this screw counterclockwise

of a turn.
6. Carefully replace the circuit board into the
housing, replace the back cover, then re-
connect the battery.
7. press the remote control on and oFF but-
ton.
— if the air filter responds correctly, no further
adjustments are necessary.
— if the air filter does not turn
ON and OFF
correctly, repeat
Steps 1–7 until it does.

filter and remote control
from power before perform-
ing service or maintenance
to avoid the risk of electro-
cution.
